The BELDARRAIN Studio has received awards such as the National Award for Sustainable Architectural Culture at the Civitas Nova 2007 Forum, the Porcelanosa Sustainability Award in 2014 and the 2013 COAVN Housing Award, and was a finalist for the 9th Spanish Architecture and Urbanism Biennial, the FAD awards, the Salonia wards, the Vivir con madera awards, the AVS Euskadi awards and the COAVN Interior Design awards.
The Beldarrain Studio was created in 1999 thanks to the experience gained by Juan Belderrain at Joseph Paul Kleihues’s studio in Berlin and Rafael Moneo’s in Madrid and San Sebastian.
Since then, our work has focused on the idea that architecture is a service, which makes us fully rely on innovation, not only in terms of esthetics but also concepts related to the analysis of the program, the user, the location, the economy and the construction itself.
This is why the studio staff is mostly made up of architects who are prepared to take on large-scale architecture, urbanism and design projects. Our work system, in which multidisciplinary teams are coordinated, allows us to cooperate with advisors selected specifically for each project.
